Default 2004 2500HD small performance urgrades

I have a 2004 silverado 38k miles. Lq4 dwb im just looking for some guidance on power uprgrades very new to the LS world and i dont not know alot what i can and cant do with out reprograming computer what are musts and dont's. And just specs on the motor. Any help would be great.

Have you been on performacnetrucks.net???

It's the sister site to this geared for trucks.

No matter what you do, having the PCM reprogrammed will make a huge difference over the feeling and drive ability of the truck.

The biggest bang for the buck will be a tune.

Drop in truck cam would be real nice and some you don't have to tune for, but I'd highly recommend you do, will be night and day with/without a tune especially with the cam. (the tune applies to a lot of things... throttle delay, torque management, shift points, trans line pressure, rev limit etc etc)
