Can it be done? I recently removed a lq4 out of a 2004 chevy express 3500. I did this without checking the mileage. Is it possible to install a battery and turn the key to get a odometer reading?

I would think if you have the ECM it will report whatever the odometer reading is once wired up but I don't know this for certain.

Get it on the stand and run a compression and leak down test and if all is good then run it! If you have the time and money to go back through the engine that would be my recommendation.
