Lithium Ion Battery for 98-02 F Body Hey guys,
Not sure if anyone has done so already, but looking to put a Lithium Ion battery in my car. Wondering if anybody sells a kit, or if someone has installed their own, which battery was used and how it was mounted.
Mainly looking for weight savings...the car gets parked inside, so I don't mind throwing it on charge often if need be.
If anyone has done this, please share

Run a Google search for "lithium battery fires" . . . not fun. A lithium battery requires a very specific and tightly controlled recharge profile and I don't believe a standard GM alternator / voltage regulator can do what needs to be done here.
