Can anyone in the GM world help me identify what is the big differences
between the 2002 5.3L 4x4 Tahoe, and the 2006 5.3L 4x4 Tahoe ???

2002 Tahoe 4x4 275hp rated for 13 city / 16 highway
2006 Tahoe 4x4 295hp rated for 13 city / 18 highway

It's nothing crucial , but I bought my wife a 2002 Tahoe, threw a newer motor in it, and I'm trying to discover if a tune is worthy and useful for efficiency at all with more HP & slight edge on MPG.

Is this the exact same vehicle with a tune of some kind or did items change ?? If it's a tune, does anyone have recommendations ?? It's the wife's new winter vehicle.

There are some minor internal changes within the engine. The heads did not change. They went from a 512K PCM to a 1MB PCM The tunes are completely different.

Im not 100% but the gear ratios may have changed in the later years to attain the better mileage ratings. such as a 3.73 to a 3.42 ratio

Get a good tune an enjoy it the way it is.

So I see 2 recommendations for a TUNE to get better HP & MPG.
Can anyone make any recommendations of which one's that will achieve this with confirmation ??
