Exclamation First Post, check out my Crank Sensor wiring

First Post here, just picked up a 2002 C5 Z06. It doesn't run currently and I'm always strapped on time. I used to be on DSMtuners back in 2008 with an AWD 2g. Not sure if that's a good sign or not...

A little history on the car / how i bough it.

2002 Corvette Z06, Black on Black, all stock
Cranks but no start
Body is in good shape, 158k chassis miles, 70k on engine and driveline
All the engine accessories are not installed, but in the trunk. Radiator, water pump, alternator, PS, AC Compressor & condensor.

Previous owner didn't know how to get it running or didnt have the time.
Previous owner reports:
engine was replaced by the previous previous owner, who couldnt get it running due to a health condition.
Cranks and has one PCM code: P1637, other codes for door control module etc

I found this today though, on the crank sensor wiring. Looks toasty...
I have a new plug and pigtail otw, with a heatshield for it. Think this is the only issue? reply

Ok I installed a new pigtail and connector with heatshrink tube back to the harness. It will be heat resistant now. Did not fire up so I went ahead and replaced the Crank Position Sensor. Fired right up first try.
ONe issue solved

Except it has two dead cylinders. Tested for spark on all cylinders, injector and ignition harness, and fuel injectors. No issues observed.
I ran a compression test and 0psi on #2 and 6. I'm guessing a broken valve spring. Separate issue though and separate thread...
