Gen IV V6 - Tuners? Who does it?
Random question,, With the post 2014 redesign of the Old 4.3,, and as I read it its basically identical to the 5.3 and 6.0,, has anybody done a SC/Turbo/Retune?
Or anybody know what shops might be in to it?
They are rediculously cheap in the yards,, and I could see it being a way better candidate to replace a Porsche or other small engine..
I think a 600HP 4.3 could be a blast in the right chassis.. 914 go cart.. LOL

The LV3 or ecotec 3 is actually considered a gen V since it's based on the new LT1. Anyone that can tune a gen V sbc should be able to tune the LV3, but there's going to be a slight learning curve since it's not exactly the same engine. If you're looking for a tuner search for people who know what the LV3 is before trusting them with your money. There are plenty of people that claim to tune but very few who are actually competent.

yep basically the problem, many say they can haven't found one that has.. And there isn't much out there stand alone for direct injection yet..

I'll let you in on a secret, anytime you want info on a GM v6 you need to hit up the offroad sites. There's been a few threads about LV3 swaps including who did the tuning if you go to sites like pirate4x4

Pirate 4x4 has some pretty talented guys.
Dealing with the direct injection limitations on the Ecotec3 sixxers comes into the injectors, high pressure fuel pump, as well as the cam lobe just like the GenV V8s. Some guys tried to do some heavy mods but had serious fueling issues.
I've seen a couple swaps go with a port injection instead using a custom manifold (one using a chopped down holley hi-ram). Holley EFI would work perfectly for it in that instance.
