Default AC Delco part number question

Can anyone tell me what the difference, if any, there would be in a part number that ends in an "F"? Specifically, A1097C vs A1097CF. I am looking for an air filter that would fit a 97 T/A with Ram Air. No one around my stocks the "C", but I did find the "CF".

Looking it up on a common auto parts supply site, the A1097CF is just listed as an alternate part number for A1097C.

One reason I ask is due to the AC Delco oil filters. A couple numbers that I used in the past have added "E" to the end of the part number, like PF47 now shows a PF47E, which has a different, and I have heard cheaper, design. Didn't know if that was the same case with this air filter.
