How long do you want your valvesprings to last?
If you're pulling the heads, I would put on a set of 706 or 862 heads. They're much better than the 317s.
I personally would not go that big on the cam for a DD especially in a truck. A smaller cam will make the same torque, just at a lower rpm.

Are you changing the converter?

Doing a 3,000 stall I think. Got an email from hitech racing and he suggested a .625/.625 228°\234° or something in that area along with 40-50 lbs injectors. Going with dual valve springs and slowly adding to the list for my build this winter.

That will work ok. Might be a little soft at part throttle. I wouldnt go over 224 duration on the intake but I really like low end tq.

Tbss/nbss intake manifold is also better than the lq4 by about 15-20 hp with a cam that big probably.
