Default LS427/570 in Gen IV?

Anyone try one of these yet? Looking at options to renovate my DD 99 with something reliable and decent power. I realize it is a lot more than the LS3 options but thinking there is far more potential here in the long run.

From what I read the LS427/570 even comes with a Gen IV oil pan.

More potential, but are you going to use that potential? 570hp at the crank is easily surpassed by a moderately built 416 for around the same price or probably less. If you want a sealed factory engine with a warranty and minimal headaches, sure, but then you aren't taking advantage of said "potential".
