Looking for recommendations on my transmission.
Currently the car just has bolt ons but in the somewhat near future I plan on doing a heads/cam build once I recover from the cost of fixing everything. I know that later down the line (years from now) I'll want to boost it. Right now the trans is in rough shape, doesn't like shifting too well while in the gas to 2nd or 3rd. I was wondering if it would be better to invest in a 4l80E vs rebuilding the 60.
Any and all info/thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Depending on your goals really but a 4L60 can be built to take some abuse. Take a look at RPM and Monster transmissions to see what they have to offer.

For handling I'd put some good tires on it, koni shocks, decent springs, if you lower it I'd weld lca brackets on it and get a panhard bar, an aftermarket torque arm, then lower control arms and sway bars. In that order. Call someone like bmr or umi they will set you straight. They sell entire kits as well and you will save a penny.

Currently have koni sport shocks on the way, Willco front brake kit, strut tower brace, black carpet, headliner, visors, new crash pad with cover, new halo led headlights, new bumper, getting black non perf leather for all seats, new shift handle, trunk lid struts. I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of atm.
Making plans for a 4l80e. I'm trying to find some of the camaro import taillights and a stick steering wheel in good condition but haven't been able to locate any.
If any other thoughts or suggestions let me know!

You'll be busy once all the parts come in. Did you get the sun visor from classic industries or is there another option?

Thank you. That's the same price as classic industries, I was hoping you found something cheaper, but that may be the best option.

pretty good, got the rear shocks installed, started to do tte fronts but not sure if i should get new springs with them also or just use the old ones. (Not doing lowering ones with these slp longtubes). Waiting on a few more parts to come in to start it back up when it warms up. Will post some updated photos as I get them. Any suggestions on a roll cage that is car seat friendly too?🤣 I wasn't going to but how the car is now it'd it'd very easy to put one in.

Currently step is getting the new carpet put in. It looks like below the console area on the passenger side it may have been getting burnt up. Wanted thoughts on this and any suggestions on getting carpet lined up perfectly. Hesitant on starting the cuts for bolts/belts/seats etc on the chance I'll need to adjust due to slack in another area after the initial cuts.
