Hey whats up everybody new to the forums/threads and im needing some guidance. 05 silverado 5.3 LM7 Vin-T bone stock barely over 113,000 miles. But i want to do a complete tear down/overhaul while adding some performance/aftermarket parts to give her a little rumble in the jungle >
. So as far as modifications go im really in the air as far as compatability.....Keep in mind this will be a daily driver, want to keep it economical, street truck basically that wont be doing any towing. But the main things i was wanting to tackle were :
1. Cylinder Head upgrade
2. Camshaft upgrade
3. Intake Manifold upgrade
And of course Cold Air Intake, Headers, Exhaust Kit....was trying to do a reasonable budget and wasnt looking to go crazy just a good upgrade to have some fun. Any and all info would greatly appreciated thanks!

If the engine is in good condition don't waste your time and money on a rebuild! Just remove the heads and have them freshened up with a bowl blending and a high-performance valve job. Install a camshaft spec'd by a professional. Upgrade the valve springs possibly and the pushrods depending on the cam profile/springs. The intake and throttle body will be totally fine. Install a stall converter! Add headers/exhaust and build yourself a cold air intake. Have it tuned and have a blast.
