Confusion on Dynamic Compression
Hello, hopefully I posted in the correct section.
I am in the process of building an LQ4 408 stroker and am confused on Dynamic Compression. I find VanDykeT/A’s build to be quite amazing and a build I’d like to build off of. However I heard on 93 octane 8.5:1 dynamic compression would be the max on aluminum heads. However VanDykeT/A has Prc 247cc heads and 251/259 .624/.624 114+3 cam, 408 stroker with 11.5:1 static compression. According to these specs, I’d be seeing a 10.08:1 dynamic compression. He was able to use pump gas and even do a 3 hour trip! How is this possible? His elevation I took into account too. I just don’t get it.
