Default GMPP crate warranty

Long time lurker, first post - hope it's in the right spot.

Will be buying an LS3 crate soon and given the limitatons of the GMPP warranty, are people just doing the installs themselves without concern? Or is the better option to buy from a builder that offers a better warranty for the DIY guy? Maybe the failure rate of the GM crates is too small to be a deciding factor? Curious to know what the general sentiment is.

BTW, the engine will be used on the street only, with no modifications.

Thanks

It was not a concern of mine when installing an EROD crate motor. Given these were made on a GM assembly line I would assume quality better than any builder could offer. I bought a 2019 5.3 L84 longblock with no warranty - did not concern me.

As a side note I wonder where these are made now the Gen IV's have essentially been replaced for a decade?
