I bought a pair of SS Camaro factory tubular Tri-Y exhaust manifolds for my project and I was told they would not fit my 2005 6.0 LS engine. Is this true ? If so, what is the reason they won't ? 🤔

What Camaro SS had Tri-Y manifolds? Mine certainly didn't, and I know the 4th gens didn't either. The only ones I know of are from a 5th Gen Z28, and because those are from an LS7, they will not work on a normal LS engine.

Does anyone know why they will not work ? Can they be modified to work ? I really like the design, and I already bought them so I guess I will try to "Make Them Work" ? Anyone have productive input or 1st hand knowledge on how i might go about doing this ? Thanks !

The exhaust port location is higher on LS7 heads, from what I can gather. Do your heads have a D port exhaust, or a round port? If they're a D port, they could work, but I think if they're round port the bottoms of the ports may not seal against the manifold. Bolt them up to the head without a gasket and see if there are any open areas. Posting a pic of the exact manifolds you have would help as well.
