Default New project 2002 camaro

Hello all new here looking for a bit of advice. I've been in the circle track world for many years and just getting in the LS stuff. Just picked up a nice 02 Camaro roller has a LS K member in it already with a trans crossmember for a 4L80E. Trying to get some ideas on if an aluminum 5.3 to start out would be a good rout or start with a 6.0? Also what are everyone's thoughts on the 4L80E for a trans and if I went with it what rear gear would be needed?

Some insight on what your goals are for the car would help greatly..

Man just looking to have something that is street/strip but looking to make around 550-650 HP to start with. Which from what I have been reading should be pretty doable.

Either engine is capable of giving you that.

Anything is do-able when you throw enough money at it.
