Default No starter action just a click

I have 2 new starters even a power xs racing starter. None will spin on the car just a click.
1999 6 speed ss.
I can turn the crank bolt and the flywheel turns with ease.
I swapped the wires checked and changed the fuses and relay.
new battery with the booster on it.
Just a faint click.
The starter doesnt move at all i dropped it down grounded it and tried to cra k it. Nothing happened.

Bad connection somewhere. Start with the battery cables. Remove both from the batt, clean both the cable ends and the terminals of the batt with a brass brush and baking soda & hot water until every metal surface that makes any kind of contact is clean and shiny, reinstall, and tighten to maybe 6 ft-lbs or so.

Try replacing the ignition relay and see if that solves it.

Check voltage at the starter signal wire when turning the key if you're getting 12V there but no crank, you've got a bad ground or connection at the starter itself.

Starter grounds through block. There should be a Ground Strap from the Block to Body/Chassis to the Battery Ground.
I see alot of Express Vans with same issue, always the braided Ground Strap.
