Default 650/700 RWHP how streetable is it with a PD Super Charger?

As you guys know I am building a LSA/Cammed LS3 and I am Looking for People with experience with a 700 RWHP car running an LSA Style Supercharger, I am wondering if the car is still a fun driver is it to much for a street car with the instant style power delivery of a PD SC? How controllable is the power? I am assuming traction is going to be an issue with the 3.91 rear gears.

I am assuming I will be in the 650 to 700 RWHP Range with my combo. Last thing I want to do is make the can UN-enjoyable by making it to much for the street. I have no experience with PD Style Super Chargers.

Thanks

I will tell you this, my SS is around 500 to the wheels and it's incredibly tame to drive. The chassis in the 5th Gen is really refined, and if you make an effort to stiffen it up where needed (polyurethane rear cradle mounts, diff mounts, and good toe rods/LCAs) it will easily handle 700+ to the wheels.

I have all of the suspension mods taken care of already. Tires are going to become and issue.

A lot of that will depend on the chassis that it is in and the rear tires. I have 2 PD cars, one is a LS1 TVS2300 with a 6 speed manual in an IROC and the other is a LSA CTSV auto car. Both cars only make low to mid 500's to the wheel. The CTSV is so much more capable and could handle a lot more more and still be civilized and fun on the street. The Camaro can be a handful if your not paying attention.

I have Nitto 555R2s on the rear of my Camaro and they are quite grippy. I only see about 7K miles out of them, so I'm probably going to switch to a regular summer tire and get a set of dedicated drag wheels and tires for the track. I think the Nittos would work well for you.

I have been thinking of the Nitto, But I do like handling and I hear they are more of a straight line DR. Id like to find something that maybe is at least a happy medium.

If you want to make power you need to run e85 on those setups. Get the snout ported and run a larger TB as it is like sucking thru a straw.... bigger inlet (especially the piping to the TB) makes a huge difference.
There is no reason why it can't make 700rwhp and be perfectly civilized. The cam choice will determine that.

Here is a list of mods needed to get the power you want. Why reinvent the wheel?!?!?

SC is ported by Kong and it has 103 NW TB, BTR Stage 3 PDS Torquecam. E85 is not easy to come by near me.

I just went back to 17" rear wheels and they're outfitted with NT555G2 in 315/35R17. With only 540-550 rwhp if I drop the hammer down in 3rd gear she'll get loose and I'll have to get out of it. This was on asphalt but I didn't have this issue with the 15" wheel and Mickey Thompson ET Street DR's in 265/70R15's. Having anymore horsepower in the 4th Gen with a straight axle really isn't worth it for a corner carver unless your just looking for style points or bragging rights. I may want more power but the car itself dosen't need anymore. It's capable of reaching speeds of 200 mph with what I have but I wouldn't dare do it. Just not safe.

Yeah the 5th Gen I do believe is a lot more planted then the older gens. I want a decent handling/traction tire.
