Ford had a color similar to SOM. It was called Bright Amber Pearl Metallic (I think it was in 1998). I had an Iroc that was this color. It is pretty darn close in the sunlight and looks red at night.

I might have the first som firebird ever built it was built on apr 3rd 0f 2000 and according to asc it was 1 of 6 pilot cars build for 01. It is a Convertible ws6 auto with the camel int and black top it has every option cd changer, Tcs, vin is 000008.
Its one of 37 verts not sure how many auto verts out of the 37 there are.[IMG]

I have an 02 SOM M6 with a Sunoco hood, SS spoiler, black billet grill and Berger panel in the paint shop right now being resprayed SOM including the roof with black hockey stripes painted in and black accents on the hood. 4 coats of paint and 5 coats of clear
Should be done in a couple of weeks, pro photos being taken afterwards; I'll post up a few when she's completed.
