Ok the curiousity finally kicked in and I totalled it up.
I've got ~7400 in parts on my car right now, and 3800 in parts that I've bought and then removed or had to be replaced on my car. So I've dropped in total about 11,200 into the car so far.

I didn't see a selection for less than $1.00 I am about <$900.00> right now if you don't count my labor.
Bought two fully modded cars over the last year. Demodded both but kept what I needed off both cars. Sold what I didn't need and sold the cars after they were back to stock.

Haha...sign me up.

I'm at around 4k. There is sooooo much more I want to do though. It's hard to justify things like a 2k rear end.

I lost track at about 30k a year or two ago. I'm glad I did

my 383 in 99 cost about 20k itself. since then I've learned to do EVERYTHING myself and saved a LOT of money by doing so. now I'm running a 408 and am pulling it out for a rebuild.
I've had 3 sets of headers, many exhaust setups, , 5 intakes, 4 cams, 3 heads, 4 clutches, 8 M6's (long story), many sets of slicks, I'm just going to stop now...

I have no idea, and really don't want to look thru all the reciepts, it will make me depressed. I will be going up a category or two in the next year though. turbo for me, and a rebuild, clutch, and tranny rebuild.

That's what I'm thinking.

There's a BIG difference between $1 and $10,000 in mods. Why lump them together?

For $10k, you can do a supercharger, rear end, gears, headers, intake, exhaust, clutch, tuning, LCAs, SFCs, Torque arm, and drag radials.

Then run 11's no problem.

Or Heads/cam and all the above (except supercharger) and have $$ left over for wheels.

Because I am not limiting to get drivetrain mods. That includes wheels, stereo systems, body kits, lighting, and anything else that does not relate to body repair, routine maintance (oil changes), glass replacement. This thread is not about how much to spend to get what kind of lap times.
