Why would you want to brag that your car is an automatic??

Most people prefer manual in a sports car.

Yup. My Dad's Vette has a built 700-R4 trans with a high stall converter. Its quick, but it's nothing compared to the feeling of having the direct connection from the engine to the wheels. There's just too much slippage from the loose converter.

A good driver with a 6-speed, gears, and "stickies" can keep up with a stalled auto no problem. Not only that, but my M6 gets better fuel economy and is much more fun to drive as well. Sorry if you don't agree.

True statement but I've met very few people that can outlaunch stalled autos theres a few...hell even against my mustang I sold was stalled and 6 speed cars didnt stand a chance out of the gate then the tables turned once 100mph came around the corner LS1 top end pwns. Just takes the right converter and application

Auto ls1s with over 3500 stall own. I would know my 98 was an auto 3500tci,headers,lid, 273 gears. 1.7 60fts and 12.5s all day. After a year I just got where I can launch my 02 and cut 1.83s(lowered!). Who bought an fbody for fuel economy? Thats something a honda owner would say.

Some people have to drive their cars on a daily basis. Ever think of that?? Getting 9MPG around town is not something I'd like to be doing with gas prices at $3.20 a gallon

What was your stalled auto trapping at?? 12.5 is a great ET, but I doubt your trap speed was fast enough to be in sync with that time.
