When I was 16 I paid 3000 per year for a 1977 Buick Electra 225 on my own policy.
I'm nearly 40 now and I pay 860 per year for my 02Z with full coverage. I pay 2300 per year for 3 cars total. The other 2 are brand new with full coverage.
Insurance premiums are really based on 2 major items...Location and age or driver with location being the most important. Live out in rural areas and pay next to nothing. Live in a major city and be 16 and you'll pay out the *** most times.

i recently checked out some quotes at http://www.oneshopinsurance.com they have a couple of known companies here. I also checked out some premiums. actually there are things that we all have to consider. Age is a major consideration. The type and model of the vehicle has a major role also. When buying car/auto insurance online, there are sites that provide automated tools. They’re using an auto coverage analyzer where you have to answer a few question about your financial standing, automobile condition, etc. From this information it will generate what category of coverage we need. and they say it's cheaper if you're married.. lol..

Insurance would be 1,560 every six months, but I get an 80 dollar discount every month for b average in college, which comes down to 180 a month, and 1,080 every six months. I'm 18 with clean record; state farm is my IC.
