Question 05 GTO LS2 way to go??

I have decided to go with a LS2 and get away from 383, what I'm wondering is should I buy a crate engine, harness and ECU or buy this 15,000 mile 05 GTO thats comming up on the auto insuance auction? Its a rollover but the engine compartment looks untouched. It would give me everything I need and then some with the ability to sell off the T56 and interior and what ever else. I'm planning on getting a TKO 500/600 as I doubt I need a 6 speed double over drive. My questios are is this the way to go and how much should I bid on the Goat?
Thanks,
Mike

What kind of car do you have? Do you just want a motor?

You can buy a BRAND NEW LS2 for $6000.00
Just click Here.

As far as the wiring goes, you buy that seperate but they offer that too.
_______

If you can get a killer deal on the car, and it seems legit, thats up to you.
Is this a wrecked car? Details...

My car is a 1969 Camaro RS/SS convertable. Yes it still has the orginal block. I have done the suspension GW and Hotchkis, Baer Brakes. Holley C950 Wide Band MPI, etc, etc. Now I want to upgrade to a LS2 and TKO 500/600. The GTO is a insurance total with about 15,000 miles. The car looked to have been very well cared for. Its a roll over and the tops flat with other body damage. Preliminary inspection show no drive train damage at all. Its still very clean under the hood, no oil spills or leakage. It strated up and sounded good. BTW the Goat is a 05. Does this help?

let me get this straight you want it for the motor? dont bid more than 6000 obviously but id try and keep it below 4 grand, preferrably around 2800, otherwise just go get the new LS2 with a warranty

Yes you have it straight, my reasoning is I have a buddy with a 67 GTO who wants to buy the seats, he is also interested in the T56. I buy it right and I can sell those parts to him recoupe a few coins back. I get the LS2 and the harness and the ECU. Is this the wrong way to do this, I mean more expensive? Help me out here, where does everyone else get their LS2 setups?
Thanks,
Mike
