F.Y.I.

Gas is cheaper the farther you get from a popular Freeway. Such as in my case for example,..76 stations near the freeways out here (101, 405 and etc) charge 3.41 for 91,....but...1-3 miles away from those same freeways on those same streets on the same day at another 76 its 3.09 for 91. Its a pattern I noticed a few months back. I also noticed that every other gas station out here does this also.

Question.

I get 54 miles to every quarter tank except for my last quarter tank of fuel I get 76 miles. Has anyone heard or experienced this before?

Yes, it's pretty standard on all cars, in fact. Gas guage will read over-full and the first half of the tank will seem to "last" longer than the second.

i get nearly 160 miles to my first quarter tank and would be LUCKY to get 160 to my last 3/4 tank...my first quarter gets overfilled and lasts forever and the closer you get to E the faster it pisses away....but i have a truck

thats how my tank is too. it kinda pisses me off cause people will ask for a ride and ill tell them i dont have much gas or whatver. when they get in the car and see i have almost a half tank they get all *** rashed on me...that is until they see that im almost on emtpy when we get to their house. gas went down though...which is nice cause im using nothin but 91 now. in fresno, ca its just under three for 91...it got pretty high for a while...i remember paying like 3.70 for 91 once.

$2.35 right now for 87, and $2.55 for 93. It was 20 cents higher about a week ago, so I'm really glad it is going down.
