$2.35 right now for 87, and $2.55 for 93. It was 20 cents higher about a week ago, so I'm really glad it is going down.

2.36 for Shell v-power! Enjoy these gas prices while they last because a couple weeks after election is over, they will most likely start creeping/jumping back up.

Im finally paying around $2.50 now at a citgo, but b/c I now hate the Venezualan(sp?) president for bad mouthing our country worse than middle easterners and getting away with it, I now join a lot of americans and boycott Citgo(owned by Venezuala(sp?)) so Ill be paying closer to $2.60 again, still not bad.

oh dear, what is it with ignorance when it comes to oil/gas??????

OIL IS A GLOBAL COMMODITY!!!! Which means that EVERYBODY's oil gets put into a BIG pool, then sold, you don't know what "sweet crude" that you are getting when you fill up at the pump, you have NO idea. Doesn't really matter either. Seeing that Vensuala (sp?) only puts around 4% of the WORLD market into the supply system boycotting isn't going to do a damn thing. Don't waste your time.

Like I always say....don't bitch about the price of oil/gas, you can't do anything about it except put your debit/credit/cash and pay for it.

Why don't we boycott Microsoft? Or other higher profit companies??

Think about that!!

<end rant>

Well, actually he's right about Citgo.

...which is not a company at all, but rather an apparatus of Venezuela's state-owned oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela SA. Venezuela's communist dictator, Hugo Chavez, uses the proceeds from this company to support alliances with China, Iran, and Cuba, as well as to support international terrorism. He is hell-bent on doing everything in his power to harm the United States. Naturally, the oil equipment used by Petroloes was looted at gunpoint from western companies.

CITGO's ownership is not a secret, either: it's on their web site. Also, Communists encourage you to buy CITGO gas.

So while oil is indeed pooled, the Citgo stations' profits do indeed go to a communist dictatorship so the boycott is entirely valid.

Right now on base I think $.45 for super 93. And some of the dummies at the mobil stations around still charge an arm and leg for gas.

Thank the hippies they keep voting in. Oh and even Ahnold believes the myths of environmentalism so he's no help.

I can't answer this poll. After I went and bought a Scion xB for use as a commuter car I have only stopped to get gas once in 2 months.

I still have half a tank.

(sorry I have to brag about something)
