Exactly, he means stock cubes not stock internals. A forged 346 with a twin turbo setup and a sick enough fuel system could see 1000+ rwhp, however the engine better be very well built with top of the line parts for it to last a while.

i know a guy that has made like 630Hp on a stock bottom end on spray with stock 346 cubes, so i can see it possible with the right setup.

Excuse you? Where did I say anything about a stroker? Or it not being a built motor?

Gm high tech had a guy making 1000 to the crank on a car that was driven almost daily on the street with a forged 347 and a blower. SO i cant see it not being done on a race car. Any know if the Ohio Boys did it?

They slap on a big turbo and dyno at 1000HP. Impressive, right? Go look at a dyno graph of one of these. No power at all under the curve like an OHV motor will make.

No biggie. It is a 5.7L motor. The key would be to keep the rev limits under controll, tune precisely, and cool it well.

As long as you have clearances that are not too small for all the heat, and not to big for the higher revs you'll need to make that kind of flow. Internals that can handle that power are common these days.

The real trick would be getting enough flow through the heads.
