Default LS7+Crazy British=Midengine Zonda rival.

Arash Farboud is pretty cool. He is from a well to do family in the UK that IIRC got rich in pharmecuticals.

Anyway, he is not interested in sex medicine and helping receding hairlines. He makes cars of his own design using a variety of mechanicals. The Farboud GTS will be in production soon, with a series of very cool high-tune Ford Duratechs for power, including a Cosworth motor option.

Why is this in an LSX board?

His next car will blow the 375HP, lightweight, midengine GTS away.

The name right now is the AF10, but who knows what it will be callled when it sees production. Originally they were going to use the Audi/Lamborghini V10 found in the Gallardo and a few other cars. When they realized the kind of electronic and monetary hell that would require, they took a much more practical, economical and soulfull route.

The LS7.

The goal of this thing is to be able to hang with Enzo's, Keonigseggs, Zondas, and pretty much anything else that you could conceiveably come up against. They have obviously created new intake and exsaust plumbing for the LS7 among other things and the official quote is 550HP stock for the AF10. A quad-turbo version is a possibility. In a car of carbon-fiber with a target weight of about 2400 LBS, thats a pretty spicy meatball.

If you look at some of the initial scetches, its pretty obvious that Farboud takes style and aerodynamic infulences from the new Koenigsegg (cockpit shapes), Lambo (wheels and lower sills), and the Corvette on the layout of the rear. Think C5 or C6 on steroids, with an integrated wing, a huge diffuser, etc. But still with that sentral tunnel opening at the bottom that houses 4 tailpipes in 2 sets of 2 and the 2 sets of 2 small round tail-lights.

I cant image how excited the small supercar makers are going to be when they get ahold of the OHC V8s GM is cooking up. The Euros will have their pushrod sereotypes damaged with the LS7 and turned on their heads with an OHC GM V8.

This is all from the article in Evo #94, page 16.
