If the seals are still in good shape most of the time the cars are "twisted" and the Ttops are out of alignment. Take the car to a frame shop and have them check it and there it will be verified. I had a 86 IROC that did that and done this and had em tweak it back to factory spec and put SFCs on it and hadnt leaked since until I sold it, could still not be leaking.

My driver side leaks a lil bit...like a lil drop every 10 minutes...and its only in heavy downpour. its a 01 ss and i've never tried anything to fix it cause it doesn't really bother me. But if I were you..find a hardtop, t tops get annoying real quick. taking them off and on, atelast me because i don't want anyone to try to steal anything out of my car. I'm also heard of ******* shitting or pissing into someones car because of the t tops being off.

+1...T-tops were awesome when I first got my SS. Now the novelty has kind of worn off. I still enjoy going topless, but it is almost more of a hassle anymore. I would proly go hardtop next myself. Mine leak, but not too bad. I just learned to live with it.

Mine don't leak on my 98 Z28 with 119K if that shows for anything. But my drivers window leaks because the track for the window is fucked.

Wow everyone seems to be hating on T-tops. Stanger88 I know you are researching on what you want and to be honest I love my T-tops. I take them off whenever possible because when you think about what other modern car can you think of that has them? Everyone always asks me why i dont use A/C and I just tell them every piece of crap on the road can use A/C I prefer to use T-tops while I have them.

EDIT: Sorry I forgot mine don't leak at all and I'v been in heavy downpour a couple of times

Mine don't leak at all. These things aren't like the old 3rd gen t-tops, most of them actually seal pretty well.

Yeah, currently doing some research. I have until my dad sells some stuff to decide on what I would like. I estimate I will purchase sometime next summer, not sure when.

I have already decided I want an 01/02 Camaro
65K miles is my limit
if its A4, I will need 3.23 gears
I have zero color preference
I could care less about leather, it does nothing for me, but it does look good

I am currently on the fence with the A4/M6 debate and I am just seeing how bad T-tops are gonna be because there is really no way around them on a 4th gen car it seems, having seen only ONE! hard-top non-B4C LS1 car in my entire life!

Smearing Dielectric grease (can be bought at GM specifically for that purpose, or an auto store if you know what yer looking for) on the T-top seals and all that rubber up there improves its life and sealing abilities.

mine leak at the car wash but no other time unless its just raining real heavy. and by leak i mean, maybe 10 drops at the most...its nothin to be really worried about. the previous owner never greased the seal so i did and it helped a bit but no night and day difference. dont get the hardtop in my opinion, why get that when you can have ttops?

Typically if you use a silicon grease (or someone mentioned a specific GM grease) you can fix the tiny leaks. It's best to start using the grease before leaks occur because the grease helps keep the form of the ‘gaskets’ and prevents folding or tearing.

When I get my car I plan on using more lube than a **** set on that thing and never taking them off. I will call it a glass roof, not a T-top

I wouldnt trade anything for my t tops. 1996 z28 115k miles. they dont leak with the exception of a few drips in the crevis on the passenger side where the t tops meets the actual roof piece. never greased it but im thinking about it

Not a drop on the 2002,but then again I've never driven it the rain but have used a high pressure wand when I spray it off and haven't seen or felt any water inside. The 1991 will drip a little with high pressure water.

Mine only leak alittle like maybe a few drops in really heavy rain but thats it, I would get them, if you don't like em, put in t-top shades and its the exact same thing as a hard top, I love mine and won't ever buy a hard top, they are alot of fun.

Mine only leak during heavy rain storms. It lives most of it's life indoors, so the leaks are few and far between.
