I honestly hate going to auto parts stores. A lot of trash in em and mexicans in the parts line that dont speak english. A lot of weirdos mess with their cars in the lot too. Makes going in there a hassle. Most of the time I go to Pep Boys. But Autozone is nicer. The super Walmarts have a good bit of car stuff in em. And you can buy socks to boot.

I go to Napa for 90% of what I need. Sure it's a bit more expensive, but the guys that work there are not idiots like they are at advance and autozone. It's also less crowded than the others because of the prices. I am willing to pay extra to get a better part and be able to talk to somebody with some knowledge about parts. The guys that work at advance and autozone are lost if a) you don't tell them what make and model car the part is for, b) if their precious computer is down.

depends on what i need who has it in stock price etc, but napa and carquest seam to have better parts but shittier prices and business hours, so usualy go to advanced where no one seams to have a clue about anything

I went to federated/fisher auto parts today in clinton MA onmy way home from work, to pick up a serpentine belt for my dakota. The guy says, $51 and change...I say "yikes". So anyway, stop at autozone, and it was like 23.99. I've found with autozone it's best to do your research ahead, otherwise it can get difficult.

Another story with the camaro, might not go all cheapest parts like the old 226k mi dakota. Only a new k&n, and one window motor so far.

hey I was just checking out your car pics...Looks like you have a cupholder where I don't. Is that what I'm seeing, a factory cupholder to the right of your shifter? If so, I wonder if I could find that console in a junkyard if it would fit my camaro....hmmmm

Funny a lot of people dislike autozone, and advanced lol. I work at advance, I have only been there for 3 months and don't plan on spending the rest of my life there. Its just a temporary job for now. But we do get a lot of ******* ******** that come in the store, people always trying to get **** for free. It is retail but out clientbase comes off as ********. And if some of us are clueless w/o our computers or make and model, the truth is if you are paid very little minimum wage or higher by a few bucks, why waste the time to know more than you have to. It alll just depends on where you are heading in life, if you stay working at autozone or advanced you will probaly want to know more than the rest. My 2 cents.
