Whoops, you're right. I checked last night. Although I was able to use a broom handle to move the slider too. Just took a minute longer. If you put it through the side and not the top you can get the tip of the broom right by the slider. I think I'm going to take mine out or something.

heh, if you really want to know how simple it can be.....

all you need is your bare hands.
grab the top of the glass with both hands, and pull back... then hold it out and stick your arm in there.

the felt strip bars that are in the door will move, and it may not seal nice unless you re-adjust the glass, but you can pull it back that far and just reach in with your arm.

works on 3rd and 4thgens...

When does the alarm disable the unlock button from the inside?

Few months ago I left the car running with the door lock and got inside within 10 seconds. I was relieved at first then it set in how vunerable the car is.
