Default Center console on 5 speed?

Can i use the center console from a 5 speed on a 6 speed car? i know it seems like a stupid but i have had conflicting reports.

Use it for what? Background info would be SUPER!!!!

I am just gonna guess but assume you are doing a trany swap? If so yea it should bolt right up.

Should work just fine as long as you're bolting it into an fourth-gen f-body.

well i figured assumptions would be simple, i would be installing this peice into a 1999 Camaro SS that is being converted to a manual transmission! the center console is out of a 1999 V6 Camaro! i assumed that the part would bolt up just fine. but i had sources telll me this may not be so!
