HELP! Car problems need diagnosis.
I went to take my car and put it in storage this weekend so I decided to have some fun with it before putting it in storage. I waited till all the fluid were up to temp and floored it on a nice long road. It pulled great then all of a sudden it wouldn't pull any more almost like the fuel was getting cut off not allowing me to go any faster and I was maybe at 85mph. I'm not sure what the problem is. The car has 23,000 miles on it and is a 2002 Trans Am WS6 A-4. When I had the car tuned for the headers the guy also put in the firmer shift points for the auto transmission. So , I don't know if that could be part of the problem or the cause. I just noticed this problem this weekend and hasn't happend before. HELP!!!

Did it feel like it was slipping? Since you had someone mess with the tune, it may just need to be adjusted. But it sounds like what mine did when my tranny was giving out. Although thats hard to believe when it only has 20k on it. I would take it to your local tranny shop, they should have a free 2X point inspection to help determine the problem and then go from there.

I kinda felt like it was slipping. The guy who did my tune might of messed something up. Ever since he tuned the car up top in the RPM band didn't feel real strong. Will have to take it in the spring or if I have time next month when I return home. Thanks for your help.
