Ok, Hawk's are sick, I wouldnt sell it for a bike at all. I have my car and a bike (03 GSXR 600) not bad for a college kid, but honestly the bike is fun and all, but its not as great as I thought. Its definately fast, and gets looks, but I keep catching myself thinking "my family would be devistated if I fell off" I owe them more than that. It sucks if your out and it gets cold, its a long ride home no matter how far you are, wind isn't too fun, maintaining speed in the wind is even worse. I'm about to sell mine, that might help you see it how I do.

PLZ do not sell a last of the breed Firehawk for a freakin bike. You will regret it a little after, and 20 years later when you see one on Barret Jackson for $100k......

Screw that I'll give you $5000
But anyway I DEFINITELY wouldn't sell a Firehawk for a bike just to start off i don't like anything about them. The only plus a bike offers as far as I'm concerned is gas mileage which I don't think is worth the risk. I think Trust summed it up beautifully with his first hand account above and yeah.......keep the 'Hawk!!!!
Oh yeah but if you REALLY want a bike then save up for one and have both

I really enjoy my bike...but not nearly as much as I enjoy my car. Keep in mind you'll have a harder time finding another Hawk then you would finding a bike. Keep the Hawk until you can afford both. JMO.

keep it. you can find a decent 600 gsx-r for bout 4 or 5k. or save the 5k and go forced induction. you will forget about that bike when you hear the whine from your D1sc.

If you are having a hard time deciding wether to keep the Hawk, sell it.It obviously doesn't mean as much to you as it obviously does to us.

Besides, you said it yourself."i really want a bike.."

There is probably someone out there saying "I really want a Hawk".

Another way to look at it is this...if you NOT sure what you want to do,don't make a move.If it was the right move, you would already be doing it.

Good luck!

Asking this question on LS1tech is like walking into a ***** house wondering if you should abstain for the night.

My personal, trying-to-be-objective opinion, is that you should get what you want. You want a bike, so get one. As long as you're sure you won't regret the decision to sell your Hawk.
