I have a 00' and over 130K miles and she doesn't loose any oil between changes. If she does, its just about unmeasurable.

I've never noticed any real oil consumption on my z/28

When I pulled the airbox off, I saw some oil residue on the TB blade due to the PCV system. But I''ll hazard a guess that this may have been the first time since the car was built in 99 that this section of the intake system had been removed. About a year back I cleaned the TB blade, and when I checked a month or so back it was total clean and free of oil.

In about a year as an aggregate I've had to add about a litre of oil maybe less. The car doesn't do massive milage, but it is generally used for short trips and largly at WOT.

Damn, and the general consensus is STILL in favor of strangling me

Awesome news though. I am pretty pumped really, I am going to start SERIOUSLY looking for a car w/cash in hand around new-years. I got to thinking and since I am not Evan Smith, I will opt for a GU5 A4. And I like the TA's 99-02 GU5 TA is what I want now...but im wishy washy...

My T/A is a 02, but I have never noticed it using any oil. It's also all stock with 34000 miles.

If you buy a car your going to want to do some mods to it. Eventually you'll get tired of the bolt-ons and want forged internal.... So you will be ripping into it any way. Just buy a car already.
