Anyway. You don't want her made fun of? Choose a normal name.
Amanda, Stacy, Carie, Wendy, etc.
Leave cars out of it. Having a kid means your a grown up. Choose a name a grown up would choose.

as said before, i vote picking a normal name... whats the big deal about making initials "SS". when she gets older, and asks why you picked the name you did, and you'll say "so you could have SS as initials, named after a car" i'm sure that will make her feel special

Did you ever stop to think that maybe when she grows up, she won't want to be named after a car part because you thought it was "cute" at the time?
P.S. Screw it, call her Subframe Connector.

Volvo has an all female design team, one of the designers on this team is named. Tatiana Butovitsch. i like the first name. i believe they are responsible for this monstrosity http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpconta...5/pageNumber=1 it may not be the best name, but it may give you a different direction to continue your search. My 6 year old nephew just told me there are three madison's in his class alone, and he knows two more in the grade above him. don't conform. i just think there are better ways to go about a female name that is auto related besides actual parts of a car that begin with the letter s. just my .02 congrats, and good luck.
