Default Is this piston slap?

The other night when I cranked my 5.0 (cold) (equipped with probe forged pistons) I popped the hood and listened to it while it was cold and heard something I cant describe, but in my mind I could just SEE!!! the pistons rocking and thumping on the cylinder walls. Sounded like I would imaging a ball bearing ina SLIGHTLY larger diameter thick metal tube coated with vaseline would sound like if shaken (horrid description, I know)

You could hear it with the hood open and standing a few feet from the car, not obnoxious or noticeable unless you were listeining for it. IS this piston slap? IS the what LS1's do? is it as quiet/unobtrusive as I described normally? or does an aluminum (vs. my metal) block transmit the same sound, but only louder/better b/c block material.

Sorry, just excited as I have now heard piston slap for the first time I think

I know, unless its LOUD its not a problem, my friend has a 60K mile LS1 motor that slapped like a bitch and he tore it down and sent me pics of the walls/pistons and told me they looked new, still had hash marks, sounded horrid but said there was NO DAMAGE AT ALL!!! im not worried, just curious.

Pffft, this is what happens when you decide on what you want before you have $$ in hand. You pick it to death. Pre-buyers indecision, lol.
