I think it was a question...

Anyway, my Z28 would chirp second all the time when the tires were cold, when it was stock.

Mine would do it with 2.73 rear gears.

My car would do it when I had the stock tranny and 50% tread left. Then I got a built tranny and new tires and it does it better.

I must be the only one who thinks chirping tires=lack of traction=bad thing

I have never chirped second but that has also never bothered me either.

I can chirp the tires if I punch it in 3rd going around 60. Breaking the tires loose is a breeze in 2nd though....

yeah my buddy has a colorado sport and was bragging he could chirp third.. which is because he has 235 contis at like 40 psi, an open rear end ( i dont think its a limited slip but i could be wrong, if it is its really shitty), and no weight in the back.. i can barely chirp 2nd now with nittos if theyre cold.

Well that does mean a temporary loss in traction, but it sounds cool. Tires also have a play in it. Some Nitto DR's probably wont chirp, but they could spin on the 1-2.

I wouldn't know. Even if I did chirp the tires there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that I could hear it over LT's, ORY and dynomouth at WOT

Why? I have LT, ORY, and Borla with no plate, and I can hear mine plain as day, you must have descent tires.

Dont I know you from somewhere Darren?
