Question question about shifter and shift ****

Ok this may sound dumb but here goes anyways. I am buying a pro 5.0 shifter but I wanted to buy a billet style shift **** to go on it. The only one I could find is a Kirban shift **** for a 1997 - 2000 Corvette. My question is will the thread pattern be the same for these to work together? Oh and I was also going to order the short stick handle from UMI Performance to use instead of the long stick that comes w/ the Pro 5.0.

it should work. at least in my experience, all of the shifters have had the same thread pattern. hope this helps.

Try to find (ebay/whatever) one of the old MBA billet *****, I know they have the correct t.p.i. for both the Pro 5.0 and UMI handles.

Take the Pro 5.0 stick and cut off 1 1/2" which leaves around 8 threads. I did this and like it 10 times better then my short stick.

Well I found out that the Kirban shift **** does have differt threads than the shift handle so I will probably just use my stock shift **** for now.
