Default Is your SS/WS6 real? LOOK HERE!!!

im tired of seeing threads asking if my SS/WS6/T/A/Z28 is real. here are a set of instructions on finding out exactly what it is and obtaining legit proof.

1. Take VIN to GM dealership
2. Go to Parts and Service
3. Give them your VIN and ask them for a build sheet and window sticker on your car.
4. if you dont want to pay, ask them to confirm if it is real or not.

SLP/ASC specific cars.
Call SLP or ASC with your VIN and have them verify if it is a true SS/WS6
SLP did the SS and Firehawks
ASC did the T/A's

Phone numbers and addresses:

ASC:
1 ASC Center
Southgate, MI
48195
Phone: 734-285-4911

SLP:
1501 Industrial Way North
Tom River, NJ
08755
Phone: 734-349-2109
Fax: 732-244-0867

if you are too lazy to call:

i have found that calling SLP or ASC is easier and gives a more settling conformation. also you get the hard proof in the form of a birthcertficate or window sticker.
enjoy and stop making these threads.

JRP has it covered in this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....7&postcount=19

but thanks. Yea it gets annoying. It takes half the time to use search (when it works) than type up a thread that has been covered in the best sticky known to man and in about 20,000 other threads.

Will definitly forward that contact info to JRP, and then hopefully get a copy of his sticky over here. JRP is also very good at citing his sources so I am sure you will get mentioned bww.

im not neccessarily looking for the clout, although it helps, im just trying to make it more evident so people dont have an excuse for being lazy.

I also included a link to JRP's thread. i just thought mine added more to it with the going to the GM dealership insted of asking around on here. not that you cant get an answer here, but you get that definate YES or NO on your cars options/upgrades.
