What to do????
Well i love my car to death and have put so much time into it and money that it would be hard to get rid of it, but im looking to sell my car and get a newer six speed camaro SS or Z28 whichever i find first. Im just wondering if i should just get a six speed and change it over or if i should sell my car and buy a six speed, my motor has 106k on it but runs awsome and havent had a problem with her yet. change the oil every 3k and keep her looking clean and my friends say its the best looking paint for it being a 98. But i went and looked at a black 99 Z six speed today at a used car lot and wasnt impressed at all, i mean the front bumper had some paint scratches and looked like it rubbed against something, and the hood had two dings in it, the shifter **** was loose and wouldnt tighten but thats an easy fix, and the motor looked perfect and has 4:10 gears in it from what it says. They want 11k for it but im sure i could talk them down but i dont want to downgrade on power again since my car has all the stuff i have done to it. Im thinking possibly get some heads/cam, engine rebuild kit( what all do i need for that???) also a T-56 tranny with wiring harness and all that, would it be worth it to just swap that stuff and keep my car or just buy a six speed and go from the beginning???

why do you want a 6 speed now? just want to shift?
Id like a 6 speed too, but Ive decided to save up and get a th400 with gear vendor.
I think this is a decision you'll have to make yourself, but at least you know what your car has been through, how it been taken care of...

Honestly you have obviously taken good care of your current Z and know the history of it I would definitely keep it. For the stall or 6 speed argument which ever makes you happiest. The stall will obviously be cheaper and easier to do but if you really want to shift than drop a 6 speed in.
