they are longtubes. its a fancy name for stepped headers. they will result in the same gains as any other stepped header.

Typically in a stepped header for the ls1 the primary tube will go (or step) from 1 3/4 inches to 1 7/8 inches. Some go from 1 7/8" to 2".

A quick google image search didn't result in a good picture to help explain.
