Michigan rules. No emissions testing, radar detectors are legal and no front plate needed. However, ANY tint on side windows is illegal.

Well... just because radar detectors are illegal doesn't mean you can't use one. Hell, it's against the law to speed, but how often do you do that (even just a little). If you get caught, it's either a warning or a ticket. It's the same thing.

I live in VA and have been using a V1 in my car and truck for the last 8 years. They're hard wired and tucked up high so you can't see them easily, but they're there and they work just fine.

Oh... and last I knew, the only places in the US were they're illegal is VA and the District of Columbia. VA will never get rid of the law. They make too much ticket revenue from the other east coast drivers that think VA must be kidding and leave them sitting in the middle of their windshields.

It's 50% on side windows, 35% on the rear. Unless you have an SUV, then there's no limit for the rear windows. And for the record, we technically don't have emissions testing where I live, but I'll fail the visual inspection without cats. All I need to do is find a shady inspector.

VA laws aren't so bad if you can get antique plates. Then you don't even have to have safety inspections!

well, I'm in Chesapeake, and work in Norfolk and don't drive my SS much, but I don't have a front plate and I've got 35% all the way around, and I've never had any issues. (knock on wood)

Not LsX oriented. SSU would be a good spot though.
