It will definately void the warranty.
I took it to the dealer when my car was having trouble and the guy said my warranty was voided. Something about to much oil from the modification screwing with the MAF...

WHOA Dudes! This mod is Awsome! 
But don't stick your finger in the round silver thingy. It's like I had to use soap to get it off! Then the button thingy slipped out of my hand and down the drain. It was all wet when I finally fished it out. I pushed the buttons and the doors locked and made a wierd buzzing noise and like they won't unlock! Then I see smoke coming out of the doors. I'm like "Whoa! What's Happening?!" The like the car you know, is on FIRE! I had to call the fire department and everything man!

I got one of the conversion kits on eBay for like $20. Well worth it. The shop kept trying to fail me for inspection because of it, but I gots connections. Cops keep pulling me over for it, but once again...connections.
