intake/exhaust/tune and he put down 340 to the wheels!? Never heard of them being that strong.

Yea no kidding! I'd be happy if I was in a Stang and put up that number with only bolt-ons and a tune.

A new stang putting 340 to the ground on bolt ons, I'm smelling some

An I.R.S. and supposing it's an M5 translates to a minimum 15 percent loss. So (400).15 = 60, that's 340 at the wheels. Stangs don't respond to mods as well as lsx's and no lsx is going to see 100hp gain with those bolt on's. I'm not trying to call you out; if this is what you're buddy's claiming he's blowing smoke up your ***. That would probably explain why he looked down after hearing your stock numbers.

Good point. I agree. 340 sounded way to good.

im just stating, thats what i was told by him, when we were talking about it, the dyno sheets werent handy so i had to take him at his word, and if that is better than theyre supposed to get, i feel even better about my car. i felt good saying mine was stock.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't even do a burn out in stock form due to the tuning, right? Once that code is deleted however, they seem to come alive.

Yes, I think his numbers are better than they are supposed to get, but what can you do besides take his word for it, right? And yes, I would feel pretty good about the numbers from your stock car. Congrats.

This guy who used to be the announcer at a local track showed up in a new 06 Mustang GT, and it turned low 14's. When we time trialed against each other he left on the first yellow, when we got back to the pits he laughed and said he knew that was the only way he would beat my 98 TA A4 to the finish line. Still I almost had him reeled in.

I think it would be almost possible...A friend of mine (in an automatic) dynoed @ 305rwhp/317rwtq with intake, offroad xpipe, mufflers, gears, and some new fangled "charge motion" plates that the 3v motors use.

So with headers, pullies, and a manual it might get close?

I dont know if this was posted but on HP TV the dynoed a stock 06 and it put around 250 to the ground then they added the full roush SC plus exhaust after that it made 360 RWHP true that is an amazing gain in hp but for 6K+ for just 360RWHP in a 3800 pound car is crazy.

I dont get it. Mustangs are always a few steps behind in the power dept. and for what reason??? Wether you are into mustangs or not, there is NO reason why they couldnt build power like LS1s. I mean, the last time mustangs had a marginal grasp on F-Body bumpers it was in the 5.0 Era. Once LT1s came about it was all over. So what do they do...4.6 low 200's for HP...1999...too little too late again....260HP....2005...300HP...BUT still a slow responding heavy platform. Hell...GM could have run the LT1 right up until now and still been at the top of the food chain. LT1s gave the mustang a stiff kick to the jimmy, and then the LS1s just burried them. Its a good thing ford has some loyal stang bangers to keep them in bussiness. That said.....Terminator Cobras own. But they should.
