I voted no as well...there are times when I like how my catfish looks, and I usually like how it performs, but it has cost me tons of time and money (mostly my choice though). I've enjoyed most of it, but if I ever get a car like this again, it will most likely be something a little higher quality from the get-go (like a GTO or Vette), and I'd leave it close to stock. The mod bug bit me hard, and I sometimes find myself sacrificing my quality of life to save money for more mods
It also attracts some bad attention from the cops...I get pretty pissed when cops follow me around late at night for no apparent reason.
That being said, though, I don't plan on parting with my SS for a long, LONG time. The time and money I've put in it makes it nearly invaluable to me. Lots of sweat equity in this one.

If I could find a nice clean one I would too. I regret going with an auto, I'm, thinking of selling and getting one with a stick. I looked at a few today, and they were junk compared to mine. And they were asking about as much as I wanted to sell mine for.

I am on my 3rd one as well. Two Firebirds and a Camaro. I would like to buy a SOM Formula Firehawk 6spd, ebony leather, chrome wheels. Perfect shape nonetheless. When I find one like that I will see about making arrangements to add it to my list of f-body's

Im on my 3rd F-body. My 1st car was an 87 Bird. The 2nd was a 00 Z that suffered an unfortunate death. With the insurance money from that I didnt make the mistake I did w/ the 1st LS1. I bought a car that already had an *** load of money into it. Now Im as happy as can be.

I'm on my 2nd Fbody. 89 IROC and now my 2002 SS. I'd buy another Fbody tomorrow if I could. I LOVE my car. I'd buy a Firehawk, so I could actually own a hawk and an SS at the same time

I sure the hell would buy another one! I'm on my second one as it is and surly not my last.
My first Camaro was an '87 Iroc-Z28, 5.7L...

...which is a monster of a car when your 18, bought it yourself and putting yourself thru college. I loved that car! My current car is a '78 "Plastic bumper" Z28...

I vote yes because these cars are in a class of their own they arent the most refined but they haul *** and for a great price. If i was to buy another fbody from what i have learned it would have to be well taken cared of and i would just do what needs to be done from the get go, rebuild what i have to rebuild and do it right. I would only buy another one though if i had the money to back it because these cars realy do require a certain amount of money to drive them and enjoy them... I cant think what it would be like going back to a slow car though. I think i wouldnt be happy this car gives me alot of joy,... most of the time! I realy like my 2001 camaro fun to drive and gets good gas mileage over 20mpg so its all good. I used to have and auto lt1 with 3.73's man i realy didnt like that part of the car but everything else was the best i loved to cruise just not the bad mpg 15 on average. so 6spd ls1 car is what i would buy again probly nothing else unless its a mint Sunset orange SS doesnt matter what tranny then. I love that color.

a gto or vette will attract the same attention from cops and as far as quality goes, the gto of vette isnt much better and the cost of the vette or gto is 5 to 10,000 dollars more than the latest f-body. spending only half that cost increase on your f body can make that car twice as fast as the gto or vette. its prolly already faster and oh by the way its a LOT better lokking IMHO.
