I believe it. My buddies bolt on 01 put down 370 on 3 different dynos. we all thought it had a small cam until he pulled the stock one out of it

I have no doubt that a stock ls with no accessories, headers, ls6 intake, etc, can make 400 horsepower at 1000ft or less. I just think reputable magazines such as GM hightech should be a bit more thorough when describing these tests, and they definitely should not have left out the fact that the motor was tested at 3300ft of elevation. That's all. Go ahead and call it nitpicking.
