A Green Lane-area man was flown to Hahnemann University Hospital after a one-vehicle accident on Schoolhouse Road in Franconia Tuesday morning.

A hospital spokeswoman reported Tuesday afternoon that Richard *****‚ 18‚ of the 1000 block of **** Road‚ was in good condition.

Richard was traveling south in black Chevrolet Camaro at about 7:09 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle in the area of Kulp Road‚ police said.

The vehicle rotated clockwise‚ struck a utility pole and the bridge abutment of the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass‚ police said.

Responders from Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Service treated Richard‚ and he was extricated from the car by the Harleysville Fire Company‚ police said.

Lower Salford Township Police and Harleysville Fire Company Fire Police also assisted at the scene‚ police said.

Schoolhouse Road was closed for several hours while the accident was investigated and the damaged utility pole was replaced‚ police said.

The accident remains under investigation.

I was lucky to walk away from this. I was told that when the police arrived I was in and out of consciousness and after I said "im ok" I can walk away the very next thing I asked was "is my camaro ok." Sadly as you can see here it was a total loss.
I was told I hit black ice and well the article says the rest. Time for an even better camaro

Holy crap... that looks like a horrible wreck. Glad you're ok though. Could have been a LOT worse. This is why I won't drive my good cars in the winter. If you end up buying it back from the insurance company, you could make a LOT of money selling the parts on here.
