seriously i would park my car in the garage evne if my parents woke up for the sake of saving money, maintaining my cars looks, and not having to deal with this. if you cant do it at all just sleep in your car. pepper spray would teach him a lesson

Firearms are not the answer to this problem. While I assume people are joking, pointing a gun at somebody for leaving milk or eggs or some **** on your car can only end badly. Probably you behind bars and/or broke after losing in civil court.
Anytime anything is done that ends in damage, file a report with the police. Get a video camera to watch the car, they can be had relatively cheap. Park in the garage whenever possible, waking your parents up or not.
If you can ambush them, that might work. So long as it is only one person and you do not believe they would be armed. Personally I would probably take my large canister of Fox Labs pepper spray and soak 'em...It'll burn like a bitch, keep them from running away very fast, and make them easy to identify for the police. That stuff is HOT. Plus if they decide to fight you, they will probably have a hard time, what with the massive burning and eyes clamping shut and all.

Haha, greysteele and I think alike. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was beartrap. I wouldn't have though to paint them though.
If you're looking to go the cheap route maybe you can buy a webcam for like $15 and just run a shitload of cable out to your computer. I don't really know exactly how a webcam works, so perhaps somebody with some tech knowledge can chime in.
I'd just bite the bullet and buy a real camera for $150. It'd be worth it to catch the shitbag, and when you bring them to court you could probably get re-imbursement for it.

Wow, people are idiots. Blows me away! I would definitely be pissed man. I agree with those who say to catch him in the act and give him a few bruises to remember you by. He is trespassing (sp) and vandalizing your property, so i would go for it! Anyone here a cop or lawyer? im sure they would have some nice advice that wont end in you in trouble...

That's pretty messed up. I agree w/the camera idea or maybe even sleeping in the car. You said you can't park in the garage, maybe you can just park in front of it, assuming you're not? If you have any outside lights, switch them on and try to keep the car close to them, put it on the lawn or just close to the house in general if you can. If you do stay up one night and see it happen, you should set off the panic on the car just to make the guy worry for a split second, then take it from there.

make reports with the police tell them ur going to set up video, talk to a lawyer about ur intentions and if caught u want to take to court. so work $$$$ that out with lawyer, catch them on tape. go to lawyer or subpeona them with them having any knowldge and suprise. priceless.

i say start off small
Take the **** he is putting on your car and put it on his.
If that dosn't scare him get a camera and sleep in the car (or even better in another car parked beside yours) when he comes step out or the car and beat some *** (then post up the video)

from what you said it must be your neighbor or somebody that is pissed off about your car being too loud..... since you said you dont even pull it in the garage because its to loud..... so if you know who it is just put some dumps on and just pass by their house in the middle of the night revving the *** out of your car untill the **** disappers..... just my .02
