I didn't know I had one for like 6 months. 
I saw that round circle on it and thought it was just some sort of "delete" thing that went there. Like another cigar lighter/power outlet. DOH! 
But I never drink anything in my car anyways, so it still just stays closed.

I am all about the interior so I found the cupholder on my first testdrive, I knew about the locking glove box because I assumed all cars had one lol. I was amazed at finding the spare tire in that odd place when changing out a tail light though.

No, the secret one the Firebirds get is in the passenger door. The storage compartment has a bulge that is just the right size to hold a liter of cola. That is the secret one that is hidden in plane view.

This thread makes me feel better about being me. 
That being said I do sometimes wish the GM designers were as clever with everything else in the Fbody as they were with that cupholder.
