I've driven a Procharged LS1 with the basic 4.5psi P1SC kit. It was fun. But you know what was even better? Driving that same procharged LS1 with a 10psi pulley and a heads/cam package. 580rwhp feels, in a word, awesome!

It is a H/C D1SC on 8lbs.

And to stay relevant to the thread. If you get the car then chances are it's gettin ready to take a ****. If I were you i'd get it and drive it easy and save up for a shortblock.

on a side note: who the hell said they were disappointed going to an ls1 from an lt1?!?
Me, I had expected more with all the hype. It's like when they hype a movie up soooooo much that you fianlly see and go huh? Not that it was awful but what was all the fuss about? I think ls1 are great cars but not the car it's made out to be. Now the ls7 gave me the ohhh **** factor(for being stock).

I drove an LS1 for the first time in my friend's 99 auto Z28. The thing just pulled like no other and didn't stop. Before that, I drove my friend's 97 Z28 A4 LT1. It also pulled awesome, but the "seat of the pants" judge was DEFINATELY in favor of the LS1. My car was the 1st LS1 or LT1 that I had driven with an M6, and was just the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel of a car. That being said, I love LT1s and I'm thinking of picking one up for cheap to be my "mod car". (I'd like to keep my SS stock and low low mileage)

Getting back to the whole firehawk thing, the condition and the miles really take everything away of the fact that its a real firehawk... Its been ragged out and used as a DD so its nothing special, Id offer him like 4-5 with your trade

I wouldn't buy it just because of the miles. I got my 2000 TA m6 black on black with 75,000 miles in excellent condition for $8,000. Keep searching don't settle because these cars are not really that cheap to fix.

Yeah, I agree. If he would take $5-6000 for it, i would get it cause i could do a rebuilt if i got it that cheap. I wouldnt mind having a Firehawk, but i would be just as happy with a Z.
