first off, paying $36,000 for a T/A is an absolute ripoff. second, if they offered you $50,000 for the car, you'd be absolutely insane not to sell it to them. i'd take the $50,000, buy another f-body for $15,000, dump $5,000 in mods/maintenance into it and pocket the $30,000.

I'm not sure what concerns me more here. The fact that they offered you nearly $50,000 for a '00 Trans Am with 13,000 miles or the fact that you actually beleive them.

My guess is, when the deal actually goes down and papers start getting signed, you'll only be getting the $10-13.5K amount, not the MSRP + that amount. Or maybe they're going to give you $10-13.5k off the MSRP of a new car.

ALWAYS remeber, they are in the business to make money. How could they possibily profit by giving you $50K for a car that's worth about 1/3 of that amount. Common sense here people.

lol, dude is a liar and even more gay for trying to make it sound like he wouldn't sell it for 15,000 if that was the offer.

Maybe he'll come back on and be like "Well, they wouldn't buy it for $50,000, but I'll sell it to someone here for $36,000, you know, good guy prices." LOL

How far is the dealership from you? Have you even gone to look them in the face when they say fifty-thousand-dollars! If it were me and they said that to me I would be down to that dealership in a second, the second I smelt BS I would just walk out and put an end to it.

then post if it actually went down.

I also think its total BS, but i went there, and they were intrested in the car very much, i am 17, and my grandpa gave it to me, and i recived a letter on bad cadys, and i called them about it and it was no big deal, and a few days later they called back intrested in the car. I asked my gpa about why it was 36k and he told me it was pre ordered, i guess he though it was "more speical" b/c it was a 2000. It is just a regular 2000 t/a. I did go down to the dealership and they looked at the car and said they could give me $10,000 on top of the price my gpa payed for it. Maybe they dont really know what they are looking at...?

maybe since your grandpa ordered it it was a low build number? got me. Id take the money and run. Most dealerships will buy a car from you even if you dont buy on from them. I say try it out
